A swimming pool six stories below my window provides a different variety of interest watching the changing shapes and shadows of a pool cleaner. While the pool never reflects the sky, the shadows change with the time of day while the very slow movement of the water caused by the suction pump moves the hose into different configurations. The seemingly inexorable actions of the cleaner are wildly different from the slow decay depicted in the water of the pool in the other pool series.
